Dr. Ikram Ghani has over thirty years’ experience of working in the government of Pakistan. A doctor by education and a civil servant by profession, he was selected for the Superior Services through the Competitive Examination held in 1986, after working as a Medical Officer in the Pakistan Army and then the Provincial Health Service. He is also a law graduate and has done Masters in Public Health.
He has served for over 30 years in the Inland Revenue Service, Federal board of Revenue on field positions, administrative assignments, staff assignments and legal representation of the department at appellate forum. He has worked on taxation of all sectors of Pakistan’s economy including salaries, professionals, commercial and corporate. He has vast experience of administration and Human Resource Management. He also worked as Community Welfare Attaché in Embassy of Pakistan Tripoli, Director General Broadening of Tax Base, Member FBR and Chairman Pakistan Tobacco Board.
Dr. Ghani is currently working with Oxford Policy Management as Health and Finance Consultant providing Technical Assistance to Government of KP on Health Insurance. He is also working as Chairman Board of Health Care Commission and Member Senate Khyber Medical University and Member Policy Board Universal Health Coverage KP.
