Prof. Abid Jameel is Professor of Medical Oncology at Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar. He completed his graduate education in medicine from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar. He was awarded PhD degree in molecular oncology by University of London in 1993. He was elected as physician fellow by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and awarded FRCP.
Prof. Abid Jameel also received advanced training in health professions education from institutes of international repute. He was awarded Fellowship from FAIMER Institute at Philadelphia, USA in health professions education and also received Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) degree, with Honors, from the Aga Khan University, Karachi.
Prof. Abid Jameel has published more than 30 original research articles on various topics in medical oncology as well as medical education in peer-reviewed
international journals. He is supervisor and examiner of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and is teaching medical oncology to postgraduate residents at HMC. He is also the initiator of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa project for free treatment of all cancer patients of the province
